In a home inspection, the inspector is looking for major defects, things that could lead to major defects, things that could hinder your ability to insure or finance the home, and any safety hazards.  To ensure quality and consistency, I follow InterNACHI's Standard Operating Procedures.

I will examine the structure, systems, and components of the home. Your home will receive a thorough inspection inside and out, from the foundation to the roof.  I use a state-of-the-art infrared camera, a carbon-monoxide meter, and a combustible gas meter as standard tools for all my inspections to find problems that are not apparent to the naked eye and make sure your family is safe.  You are encouraged to attend your inspection so I can describe my process, explain my findings, educate you about important maintenance items, and answer all of your questions.  Your report will include detailed descriptions, digital photos, and thermal images of any defects I discover. You will receive your report via email within 24 hours (with a hard copy available upon request), and my job isn’t finished until you understand everything in it.
